Biological Engineering is a discipline which covers a vast area of study including all stages of procedures using living matter. B E is concerned as much with fermentations, in the widest sense of the term, as with the food industry.

The department of BE has close contact with many industries, both in France and abroad, thanks to industrial projects, study projects, and the network of former students.
RESEARCH OPENINGS
The BE teaching staff are all strongly committed to research in the field of characterization, understanding and modeling of living systems and of their interactions with their environment.
